Visit Baltimore's Visitor Guide
Neighborhood Map

After a recent brand refresh and brand audit, we determined the need to update the neighborhood map included before the neighborhood section in our bi-annual Visitor Guide. After identifying our goals, strategy, challenges and potential solutions, I commissioned the piece to be designed by local illustrator, Devin Watson.

Prioritizing locals' perspective ensured an authentic representation of Baltimore’s diverse neighborhoods, fostering a stronger community connection. The final piece features vibrant colors and hand-drawn details, making the piece engaging for visitors. Our goal for this piece was to excite and intrigue the audience and hold their attention as they explore the elements of the map, understanding that these are all things to do and see in Baltimore City. The follow-up actions would be for them to scan the QR code to access our Neighborhood guide, continue reading our Visitor Guide and/or learn more at Baltimore.org to plan an upcoming trip.
